Staff from the Department of Energy & Environment will hand out free native pollinator seed packets at 14 metro stations, including NoMa this morning from 7:30-9am. Native flowers not only add a little beauty to our environment, they also provide a critical habitat for pollinators like these bumble bees.

This year’s batch of pollinator seeds are called Sanctuary Seeds, representing the strength and beauty of our communities and the inclusive #DCValues we choose to live by. Your new garden of flowers – sharing soil, sun, and water – embodies these values as a place where dreamers bloom.
